Heartbreak

How does one make sense of the world when things like this happen?  Once again, the lives of small, innocent children are suddenly gone and families are destroyed, just days before a major holiday.  My heart breaks for them as I try to imagine just how much anguish they must feel.  Only a few days before, happy plans for family gatherings and feasts were in the works.  And then a reckless school bus driver speeds and violently crashes, cleaving the bus in two against a tree and taking the lives of at least five beautiful children (update: six).  The madness of it all.

This Thanksgiving, there will be an extra heaping of gratitude on my plate for my family and the friends whom I cherish.  There will be no talk of politics or things that divide.  Just love, compassion, and understanding.

I hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving together.

DeR Bella,

So tragic and sad and read this in our newspaper. Life can be so hard and thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones.
Sending love to you and happy thanksgiving

What a beautiful yet bittersweet image. Oh no. I have not been following the news for the past several days because of work and Thanksgiving preparations. This is so tragic. The lives of families are changed forever. Reckless and school bus driver don't go together. My words cannot assuage the pain of the families.
Happy Thanksgiving dearest sisterfriend. Life is filled with reasons for one to be grateful. Politics does not belong on the dinner table. I read of family members "unfriending" each other in Facebook and some members were "uninvited" to Thanksgiving dinner because of opposite political persuasions. So ridiculous. Politics and politicians are fleeting. Family is constant.

Gros bisous

You are so right Bella. When I saw the new I had to turn away. My heart is broken for these families who have lost there children to senseless driving. I see these bus drivers and some have such a wonderful repore with the children and parents and others, welp, it just a job to them and they are getting paid to carry a box. They don't seem to care about the little people that they drive around. This is somebodies precious cargo and I need to be very careful with it like it was mine own. Another shooting in Ohio as well. We are in a world of hurting people. So much sadness and hurt and it's hard to watch at times. It is just so overwhelming to my very heart and soul. Hurt people hurt people that is what they do. Sometimes getting the help they need is the hardest thing to do. Either they don't know that they need help or the help they need is out of reach.

Get healed is my plight! Get healed so that you can be the best you YOU can be for yourself and for your loved ones and for the community and maybe even the world. I don't know that it will ever stop, but I do know that if we are to see any change in these kinds of situations we have to be healed and learn to love ourselves and then learn to love others and hopefully grow to view every person that we meet as valuable and precious.

I have always viewed you as VALUABLE and PRECIOUS! You are the BEST PART of LIFE BELLA! You truly really are.
Love you always my girl! You gave these babies wings today with your beautiful illustration. I wish that there hurting parents and siblings could somehow see it. It's beautiful! You have given them a second life through your art. It's is so beautiful and healing. I could just sit and look at it all day. It doesn't bring them back to us, but you have given us a hope that they are safe now. Painfully gone, but safe.
Love you Bella!
