Egret is Watching

Myron desperately wanted to tell her where she could "go fish," but he controlled himself.

A few weeks back, I visited a nearby nature preserve and took part in a small beautification effort.  There was a great egret in a clearing we had just made.  He stood absolutely still with just his head bobbing ever so slightly.  Our guide informed us that he was probably hunting for frogs.  I hope this egret doesn't make a meal of one of these guys.  Watch out, Stumpy Stan.  He's got his eye on you.

It is always such a treat when I see you back in my blog reader list! I am never disappointed. Part of me wanted the egret to sit at that empty spot, but then after reading I feared for Stumpy's safety. Adorable!

Gros bisous ♡

Dear Bella,

So wonderful - love your sweet illustration. Hopefully the card game can continue and will be watched from a distance.
Have a great weekend

Ernie Egret just couldn't contain himself any longer, and blurted out,"Ask him if he's got any Threes!" "Now Ernie", they all exclaimed, "no kibitzing! If you want to play Go Fish with us you will just have to wait till we start a new game."

Heyyy, this is a wonderful illustration, Bella. Of course, I'm partial to birds of any feather. Nice work! Love it.

Ooooh!!! Eeeeww. Why does the other frog have a crutch? I do not want to know. Poor froggie. I am afraid of frogs. One was wedged on a rock on the corner of our entry way and he refused to move. I did not want him to jump inside the house when I opened the door. I used a stick to coax it to move and then it jumped. It was so fat and wide. Eeeeewww. The scare the beejezus out of me and there are so many in our yard. They help control the mosquitos but they are so ugly. Not this illustration though. It is endearing and lovely. That big frog has a mouth wide enough to swallow that girl. That egret wants to eat a frog? Gross. What is this world coming into? Bella dearest dearest darling Bella. Everything you draw and do is beautiful just like you and I love you so much!!!!!! Tsup! Tsup!
Sorry I have been so busy catching up after my trip home and getting sick and then work. I need someone to cook for me. Let me look for my husband. He said he was going to cook. I am so hungry. I have been up since 3AM with calls and ... why am I writing all of these here? Sheeesh. TsupTsup!!!
