Illustration Friday: Shelter

Hello?

Is this thing on?

If there's anyone out there reading this, thank you for stopping by.  It's so good of you to explore even the dustiest corners of the blogosphere.

After a long, long, loooong dry spell, I think I am beginning to feel the tickle of creative inspiration again.  It's a tease.  It comes and goes.

In my absence, I discovered the most wonderfully charming and deliciously dark animated series called Over the Garden Wall.  Perhaps you've seen it?  If you haven't, I highly recommend it.  I had to applaud when it ended, it was that good.  Creator Patrick McHale is incredibly imaginative and a genius storyteller.  The artwork is both whimsical and beautiful, and it has a fabulous old-timey feel to it.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Gros bisous ♡

Those cherries are HUGE! I think he needs a bigger backpack. It's so good to see you back here, Bella, and a beautiful piece. I think we both needed some time off but we always come back here, right? It's comforting that many of us have not left Blogger for the 'I'm in such a hurry' sites. I havent posted on Facebook since December because it is sooo monotonous and boring for me.

That reminds me; I need to go out and find a cherry, to bake a pie.

I check blogger frequently just in case you posted something without telling me. Try Instagram. No commitment. Come and go. Leave a heart sign and leave icons instead of commenting. I only come to blogger to check your blog, that's the truth. This drawing is so wonderfully colorful and cheerful. There are even corpuscular rays. Your illustrations are happiness picker uppers. I was having Bell Sinclair withdrawal that I got sick. I think I will start feeling better now

Us dusty bloggers still tend to notice a post of interest in our blog feeder :)

Thank you so much for visiting my dusty blog and commenting in return. It has prompted me into planning some spring cleaning to revive it. Other social media have their uses, but a blog is a more personal space, at least it feels that way for me. Time to brush away a few cobwebs and enjoy it again, no matter who reads it or calls by to comment... it is a nice place to have control over.
Best wishes with your own blogging, or wherever you prefer to post your work.

Yes, HELLOOOOOO. I'm out here too, floating, drifting, looking for a place to land. Back to a time when life was a comforting, predictable routine wrapped in ponds and gardens and children growing up, when the future was filled with endless possibilities of Joy. And now ... and endless search for something that will catch my heart. So glad I landed here. Lovelovelove to you, Sweet Bella.

Hey.. wait a minute. Cherry trees don't have thorns. I'm so fruit clueless. But they're not grapes either, so must be some fancy fruit I don't know about, and that would be a long list. Okay, I'll shut up now.

Oh such wonderfully adorable fruit pickers! I think most of us go through dusty periods. For me, I always check my old favorites, and it's so great to see a new post.

And yes that was a super fantastic show! So hard to describe, though. :D
