Illustration Friday: Liquid

Liquid Not Included

I went to dinner a few weeks ago at a beautiful restaurant at the top of the hill with a commanding view of the Pacific ocean.   There was a mass of miniature rowboats tacked up on the wall, and I thought, 'Wow, that's really neat.  I wonder where they are floating to, all going upward like that.'

Oh, look, there's another dead fish in my drawing.  Why the preoccupation with dead fish, I wonder?  I blame Ted Blackman.

I'm closing up shop for a few months to work on a project and spend time with family and friends.  Have a wonderful summer (or winter)!  See you later, alligator!

Dear Bella,

Fabulous, love that ... liquid is not included. Also how pretty all the little sail boats are and love the colours.
Wishing you the very best summer, dear friend with your family and friends.
See you when you return.
Have fun!

Oh boy, there's nothing I like better than boats in the water than a good PLUG in my boat.
Well, I think it's a plug, but maybe I just stink up the place with dead fish humor and you just want folks to know.

I like this piece. It really caught my eye in the blog roll before I knew it was yours. It's true.

Ted Blackman said...

BTW: Not all my fish are dead. Mostly they're just displaced :)

Waitaminute!... You're leaving???

For GOOD?!!

Hey Everyone!... BELLA"S LEAVING BLOGGER!!

No liquid? no WONDER fishy is dead. Down deep in the "locker" we call it (fishtitiously) murder. I'm just lovin' this piece I've titled "The Boat People"...used to live on a houseboat (scow) on Ohio River.

So glad to see her
before she went away.
thought, on her return...
she was here to stay.

Bye-bye. You nice lady!

I love them both, I would still give the dead fish a hug should I ever meet him in person, he looks like the loveliest of fishy personalities.
Wishing you a super productive couple of months and some extra special family time
In a while croc.......

First, Thank you for donating to Reagan and his smile. That was so unbelievably kind. I teared up when I saw. These acts of kindness make such a lightness in my world weary heart. As much gratitude as your heart can hold.
second, I LOVE the "making peace with the inner monster" That is wonderful!

"Ullo Bella, ah, is it safe to come out of hiding now :) You know I have just spent a few days combing the internet for examples of warm and cuddly and "cute" - in the old fashioned meaning of the word - not the lovable but ugly meaning of the word- and you know what? "what?" I shoulda come here first :) sill me, I've always been silly but sometimes my silliness erupts into bountiful clouds of it (silliness). I just adore that pic with the reindeer thingies on the heads - you have the soft touch, just right, not too heavy, nottoo light :0 see you have a wonderous holiday hugs from 'ere
