Those girls are having so much fun! (Trying to remember what those water bugs are called....we saw them all the time up at the lake...love their goggles!)
What a hoot they're using their feelers as handholds. Guess the girls are loved as the bugs don't look all that unhappy.

Them water skeeters are just too darn funny. And isn't this the first time we've seen them as subject matter in a painting? Well, first time I've seen them used and I'm jealous I didn't think of it first. Genius!

Bella! I'm so sorry I'm a little late on this one--especially because I adore it! I just love your sense of style, color and composition. Who would think of putting their characters on water-striders? I love it!

whaaaoooooooo those little bugs go soooo fast (I know, I remember as a kid trying and trying to catch one)
So not only are the little bugs super talented (with their adorable helmets and goggles) so are those sweeet girls.

Is this you and your daughter, Bella? I see this as reality and just want to scootch along the waters edge to watch..or perhaps wait for a turn with my little ones. : ) Your illustrations always transport me to another place..that of joy. I hope you and yours are happy and well! Hugs to you my friend!

What amazing storytelling! I must tell you those water bug horses give me a bit of the creeps. It's the long spindly legs! On the other hand, when I was younger I was much more fearless and clearly they are suited to the younger set. Which is perfect.

The teeny turtle aaaah so cute! And I love those wonderfully detailed trees. Oh! And the water! Love it. (Now if you only had a little subscription widget so I would get an email with your new posts because I hate to miss them...) :)

Takes a LOAD of intellectual stimulation and creative explosions to do what we all love to see you do, Bella.

When I drop by your blog...I don't find everyday art here. I experience another way of life. experience LIVING another way.

YOU are truly amazing.

It also takes a lot of imagination/talent to conjure TWO Peeps standing on two water spiders...and/or dreams.

Song: "My dreams are gettin' better all the time..."

Good work--accent on "work", Bella.
