Illustration Friday: Book

She went to great depths trying to find a nice, quiet place to read.

My my my, it feels like ages since I've been here, and even longer since I've done a personal drawing just for fun.  Wow, so dusty and empty here.  I can practically hear my own echo.

Hello!

Hello

Hello

Hello

It might take me some time to wipe away all the cobwebs and get back into the swing of things, but it sure feels good to be drawing again.  Hope you've been fantastically well.  Thanks for stopping by!

HOLY COW! Welcome back. :) I hope you had a splendid summer!

It's like you never left with this beautiful illustration! I just love the concept, and the fantastical creature out of the deep sea and into deep space. And of course your tiny reader looking so comfy with her book!

Oh, just feel free to come and go as you please. We'll take the doors off the place, like a Vegas casino, so we don't have to hear it slamming all day long. Don't think about us here, waiting for your return with bated breath and sad eyes, sitting in this dusty place. It's okay.. really. Spread yourself thin, Ms Popular. Who cares....

So...... you're REALLY back for awhile...? REALLY??

Okay. I was kidding. Can I get your slippers? Can I make you a grilled cheeze sandwich? We have lots of DVR'd movies to get caught up on....

Oh yeah. Welcome back, Bella. And I really like this new piece. It's a super cool and powerful image.

Hey ! Heh, I just got the joke, call me 'fortnight' if you want, but I don't care. Your image reminds me of pleausure and pain - is that a bad thing? Most of us get too much of one and not enough of t'other. In the end we can't tell the difference - now let me see. I love the luminecence of this - and I also like the contrast between the dark and the light, the sharp bits and the not so sharp bits - and does she have a smile onher face? She should. Wonderful that you are back Bella, your book arrive, you ROCK - as shirley says , but more on that later :)

GORGEEEEE-OH-SO, my dear Bella! I've missed your beautiful exquisite work. What a mind you have...I'm so happy to see your little one catching up on some reading in the sleeping fish! My daughter and I can't remember the name of them..but goodness, I'm glad he's not a meanie! Hope you've had a wonderful summer. I agree with Ted..can we get you some slippers and a grilled cheese sandwich? He is so funny. I'll throw in a nice bowl of ice cream later on. Big hugs to you!
