*Thank you to my mini IT support, Emma, for showing me the PIXLR program that created the effects and for telling me how to grab a screen shot.  Tsup!  (She is making me give her credit, hahaha.)

AAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!! My heart jumps with joy at the sight of these two wonderful illustrations. I sound like a broken record, I am a broken record but your strokes are masterful and a powerful prompt and evoke for my heart to dance and my face to smile. Sigh. These black white and grayscale gives me mirthful convulsions. Brilliant!

Ces Adorio said...

Yes, of course I love them. Sigh sigh sigh. I love your FPOT and you!

Truly there is no one and no other like you. People can draw and paint but no one can execute them like you.

but cute too~ ;-)

Candies and octopus tentacles and a foxy dog, oh my! So many unexpected wonders! The little girls with their sweet relationship. The vintage style is so cool! Just terrific. Also, I would like a brave and loyal fox dog, too!

Oh yeah, these are great! I'm a big silent movie fan, I used to go to the Silent Movie theater in Hollywood a lot to see Keaton, Lloyd and Chaplin. I could see this one animated, wouldn't that be cool? Have IT Emma show you how to make an animating GIF next. That would be bitchen to see in your style.

I LOVE THIS! *argh* the treatment is great (or maybe im just too deranged to begin with, haha)

Every detail so thought out and this just comes natural to you?! The way your mind works, so fascinating and amazing.

This is dark, cool, creepy and beautiful.

Are they completely underwater?

This leaves me wanting more...

Btw, I hope all the *yuck* from last week has cleared and you're not dealing with any sort of harassment. You seemed positive that all would be well. I hope it is and wish you continued happiness.

I love this! Thanks for your comment. Yeah, it's going to be quite a challenge for me to keep making the story sound interesting--and them to raise all those kids without pulling their hair out.

And so totally true...ehmm...really do be careful what you wish for. I've already had that luck, in a good and bad way.

Steve E said...

BELLA! For me your best work this year is in this post! Absolutely LOVE it! You have an amazing mind. Are you also Philippine-Peep?--grin!

I am copying these to look at every day for awhile, there is SO much to observe (hidden stuff, which is not really hidden!)

Steve E said...

Few days ago you commented on my "Lesser Known Dumptys" post for artist Ces:

Bella:
I am chicken. And you know what chickens do....
Speaking of chickens, you ATE HUMPTY? Hahaha! That's cracked up, man.

Thinking (my pride, ya know?) that you'd smile at my response:
Blogger Steve E said...
NO, BELLA! I do NOT know "what chickens do". Do they cross the road, to get to the other side? Do they taste good, fried, on a Sunday nite?

I used to be "fried" as I ate chicken fried, on Sunday nite--or ANY nite, or morning.

Are chickens (and their ilk) the ONLY things we can eat BEFORE THEY ARE BORN?

(And what WTH does 'ilk' mean, anyway?)

You don't need to read the remainder, OK?

BYE!

Love this old timey feel! Your illustrations always do such a great job of conveying narrative but this one with the little "Jump" screen at the end was so cute and charming!

That is so cool Bella! Your characters fit right into the 20s. I think this the first time I’ve ever seen an octopus and a Life Saver at the same time. Your brain is incredible!

I want to know what the soundtrack was that was playing in your mind when you made this!
It could be so many things!
LOl

Steve E said...

...or was the soundtrack "the loudness of silence"?

Even Toto looks scared--and me, too! Now I'll go to bed and dream about these fantasy situations--or ARE they fantasy? OMG!

Ces is right--there is none other like you, Ma'am.

Only one thing left for me to do:
J U M P !!!!!!!
Tsup!

PS. Feel like a REAL Peep today--first time in a week. How GREAT it is!

Shirley said...

WOWWWWW! Simply awesome work, Bella. I am SO intrigued with this story. Will she use the lifesaver candy? Will they jump? Are they really threatening octopii? Oh my..the suspense is killing me...but it's wonderful to wonder! You always manage to kick it up a notch and just blow our minds, Bella. I love the silent film-esque look to these. Great for Emma! : ) Hope you have been well..I've been fine..just a bit swamped but good now. Finally able to look up from the pile that had me squashed. Sending my hugs!

Shirley said...

Awww..you are too kind, Bella..thank you so much for your generous words. I hope things are going well for you and that that tax thing is melting away swiftly. It is too hot over here..makes my thoughts drift to Kauai. : ) Wishing you and yours a great rest of the week ahead. Hugs!

Bella Babe!!! You are granting me a perfect period to practice the virtue of patience--even maddeningly--so to wonder if it IS any more a virtue?

But I will keep waiting for your 2013 entry into the "blog-o-rama-for-the-masses" (us, who are still eating the Monarch's cake.)

With Patience, LOVE, and PEACEfulness

NOTE 6 months until Christmas,
7 months until Bella's next post!

How is it that your work just keeps getting more brilliant with time? Sounds like your little one is going to follow in your most perfect footsteps. **kisses** Deb

Steve E said...

Ref: Airport illustration...so THIS is why they are called "Fine Arts". Yours are the finest. Even the little pinkie outstretched while holding coffee cup.

Bella, there just are NOT enough cookies.

Something exciting about airport scenes. While having a coffee, so many Peeps, coming, going, all seeming with purpose! SO many stories hover there. Anxiety, wonder, some fear.

I a Gemini also...and I'll finish those cookies, Those 'others' can have their doughnuts...or SOME kind of nuts. Maybe those little "oak-seeds"???--grin!

Hope you are OK,
so go hide away.
Bella, what EVER you do,
know that we LOVE you.

See you later, be it next week, month, or next year.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add the homeowner with the garden hose. ha ha. I've got a power line to my house running right over my patio, should I spray that down? There's always a line of pop below it. Maybe I should grease it. Naaa. I love birds, and they love hanging at my birdbath.

Glad to see you pop in, I look forward to your comments and thought you were gone for the summer. I'm going to post a new cartoon tonight so stop in for a coffee.

Ted Blackman said...

I meant poop , not pop. Sheesh.

As Dr Seuss would say, Hop on Poop. I mean Hop on Pop.

aimee said...

you went into hiding just when i emerged! loving peeking through all of your doodlicious posts!

Andrew Finnie said...

Heh, I just discovered the bestest way to stay warm. I put oven mits on my ears. You might laugh and think well, they wouldn't be big enough, but we live in the land of Kangarood, magpies and giant oven mitts.

The fact that are pink with little yellow butterflies might have fazed a less masculine man, But not I. I even eat quiche...

What were the other suggestions for staying warm? ;) The only other one I can think of is getting in my surfboard bag but it has too much sand...

Shirley said...

Bella..thank you, thank you, thank you for your sweet visit! I'm so honored that you have taken some time outta your summer to visit and send your sweet words. I hope you're enjoying time away with your little ones..getting some sun and fun in! I have been out of the loop for a while, but I hope to be back in fall. Life is happening and not all of it's happening here in cyber space for me. I know that you have a life as well.
