AAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!! My heart jumps with joy at the sight of these two wonderful illustrations. I sound like a broken record, I am a broken record but your strokes are masterful and a powerful prompt and evoke for my heart to dance and my face to smile. Sigh. These black white and grayscale gives me mirthful convulsions. Brilliant!
Yes, of course I love them. Sigh sigh sigh. I love your FPOT and you!
Truly there is no one and no other like you. People can draw and paint but no one can execute them like you.
this is stunning bella, it looks like a vintage film. really so lovely, you are such a talent.
oh, a little tiny bit scary, just a littlebut cute too~ ;-)
Candies and octopus tentacles and a foxy dog, oh my! So many unexpected wonders! The little girls with their sweet relationship. The vintage style is so cool! Just terrific. Also, I would like a brave and loyal fox dog, too!
Oh yeah, these are great! I'm a big silent movie fan, I used to go to the Silent Movie theater in Hollywood a lot to see Keaton, Lloyd and Chaplin. I could see this one animated, wouldn't that be cool? Have IT Emma show you how to make an animating GIF next. That would be bitchen to see in your style.
I LOVE THIS! *argh* the treatment is great (or maybe im just too deranged to begin with, haha)
A scary movie! How fun!
Very beautiful! Congrats!
Bella, what a great little adventure you have created for your characters! Such excitement, mystery and fun!
i feel like you have access to a full range of imagination that most of us are only open to in our dreams! you so freely move w/characters + plot + lines + heart. love it all, my dear. xox
Wonderful!! So clever & beautifully done.
Very creative merging of modern and tradtional! :)
Every detail so thought out and this just comes natural to you?! The way your mind works, so fascinating and amazing. This is dark, cool, creepy and beautiful. Are they completely underwater? This leaves me wanting more...Btw, I hope all the *yuck* from last week has cleared and you're not dealing with any sort of harassment. You seemed positive that all would be well. I hope it is and wish you continued happiness.
SWEET!!! Love your vintage drama Bella :) I'm clapping for your assistant too ;)
I love this! Thanks for your comment. Yeah, it's going to be quite a challenge for me to keep making the story sound interesting--and them to raise all those kids without pulling their hair out.And so totally true...ehmm...really do be careful what you wish for. I've already had that luck, in a good and bad way.
Awesome illustrations - I love the style! Amazing.... keep it up and Happy Art!
This one takes me not onlytoanother place,, as usual, but to another time! Gotta go grab lifesavers!
trop mignon ! très original et superbement réalisé. BRAVO !
Okay, Okay, Okay, How did you do that????? It's magic I tell you. PURE MAGIC!!! No fair. This is to awesome for words. Well...... did they do it???? My heart is in my throat! Have to know! It's driving me crazy!!! I must know!!!!
I am seriously hoping that the lifesaver transforms into a parachute. Your mind is such an amazing place to visit! :) And I love the b&w. Good job on the tech support, Emma! xo
I just LOVE the life saver! You are so clever!!!!
BELLA! For me your best work this year is in this post! Absolutely LOVE it! You have an amazing mind. Are you also Philippine-Peep?--grin!I am copying these to look at every day for awhile, there is SO much to observe (hidden stuff, which is not really hidden!)
Few days ago you commented on my "Lesser Known Dumptys" post for artist Ces:Bella:I am chicken. And you know what chickens do....Speaking of chickens, you ATE HUMPTY? Hahaha! That's cracked up, man.Thinking (my pride, ya know?) that you'd smile at my response:Blogger Steve E said...NO, BELLA! I do NOT know "what chickens do". Do they cross the road, to get to the other side? Do they taste good, fried, on a Sunday nite? I used to be "fried" as I ate chicken fried, on Sunday nite--or ANY nite, or morning. Are chickens (and their ilk) the ONLY things we can eat BEFORE THEY ARE BORN?(And what WTH does 'ilk' mean, anyway?)You don't need to read the remainder, OK?BYE!
Love this old timey feel! Your illustrations always do such a great job of conveying narrative but this one with the little "Jump" screen at the end was so cute and charming!
Hi Bella,Beautiful sweet illustration and love that she has a lifesaver to protect her. Always a delight to come and visit you.Do hope that you are having a lovely weekendHugsCarolyn

Hello! Hehehe! I used to jump a lot when I was a little kid.
Felice inizio settimana....ciao
Just darling :) I love your style!
That is so cool Bella! Your characters fit right into the 20s. I think this the first time I’ve ever seen an octopus and a Life Saver at the same time. Your brain is incredible!
I want to know what the soundtrack was that was playing in your mind when you made this!It could be so many things!LOl
...or was the soundtrack "the loudness of silence"?Even Toto looks scared--and me, too! Now I'll go to bed and dream about these fantasy situations--or ARE they fantasy? OMG!Ces is right--there is none other like you, Ma'am.Only one thing left for me to do:J U M P !!!!!!!Tsup!PS. Feel like a REAL Peep today--first time in a week. How GREAT it is!
WOWWWWW! Simply awesome work, Bella. I am SO intrigued with this story. Will she use the lifesaver candy? Will they jump? Are they really threatening octopii? Oh my..the suspense is killing me...but it's wonderful to wonder! You always manage to kick it up a notch and just blow our minds, Bella. I love the silent film-esque look to these. Great for Emma! : ) Hope you have been well..I've been fine..just a bit swamped but good now. Finally able to look up from the pile that had me squashed. Sending my hugs!
Awww..you are too kind, Bella..thank you so much for your generous words. I hope things are going well for you and that that tax thing is melting away swiftly. It is too hot over here..makes my thoughts drift to Kauai. : ) Wishing you and yours a great rest of the week ahead. Hugs!
The illos are too cute and the final jump is a bit spooky... the elements & details are really adorable :)The screen shot effect is gorgoeus!!! Loved it...I should try it sometime :)))
Ha ha! Love the old time movie look you've created! As always, your characters are simply darling!!
Today is your day. National Doodle Day. Tsup!
Oooh... I can almost hear the sound of that movie rolling! (And Charlie Chaplin's face appearing after the "jump!").You make awesome stories, Miss Bells. :)
How wonderful! Bella I've so enjoyed my visit to your blog again (been away for a while!). Your imaginative illustrations are so entertaining! Hope you get that ridiculous tax thing sorted soon!!
Wow! So cool and wonderful! That octopus is just awesome (though scary)!
"IT'S OK to jump. We're under water, ya know........"
: ) I love that song, Bella..my daughter learned it in 1st grade...all of the stanzas. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day ahead, my dear friend! : )

Just like a silent movie Bella. Fantastic how you have achieved that effect. Reminds me of Betty Boop! Also I am in love with your dog.
Still smiling at the lifesaver! What a marvelous series of vintage black and white illustrations! Scary too. I can just hear the piano playing in the background.
Thought I'd stop by and watch this old black and white movie again. It's still good, after all these years.
Your characters are always so wonderful. And I like the black/white setting of all these illustrations.
I LOOOOOOVE it! Love your work, it's wonderful! I have that app, it's so fun! Love your blog!!

Good morning. Maybe if I flood this comment section with comments, I will see anew drawing. Ooops. No no no. I did not mean to pressure you. No. I am just teasing you because I know you are so busy and I want to hear you say "Argh" "Gah!"Hahahaha! As you were, sweetie. Breath sometimes and pamper yourself.Tsup!
Bella Babe!!! You are granting me a perfect period to practice the virtue of patience--even maddeningly--so to wonder if it IS any more a virtue? But I will keep waiting for your 2013 entry into the "blog-o-rama-for-the-masses" (us, who are still eating the Monarch's cake.)With Patience, LOVE, and PEACEfulnessNOTE 6 months until Christmas,7 months until Bella's next post!
How have you been, Bella!?!! I will try to comment and see if blogger will let me. It's been a bugger for some time now so here goes...
YAY!! It worked! Gosh, it's been too long. I hope all is lovely in your world. Thank you for swinging by as I've been so bad at checking in on my favorite buddies. Hope the end of the school year is wrapping up nicely for you and your kids and that summer plans are shaping up too! Big hugs!
Do you have that number and word verification here too? Let me check...
Okay. Tsup! Have coffee with me! Tsup!
How is it that your work just keeps getting more brilliant with time? Sounds like your little one is going to follow in your most perfect footsteps. **kisses** Deb
Ref: Airport illustration...so THIS is why they are called "Fine Arts". Yours are the finest. Even the little pinkie outstretched while holding coffee cup.Bella, there just are NOT enough cookies.Something exciting about airport scenes. While having a coffee, so many Peeps, coming, going, all seeming with purpose! SO many stories hover there. Anxiety, wonder, some fear. I a Gemini also...and I'll finish those cookies, Those 'others' can have their doughnuts...or SOME kind of nuts. Maybe those little "oak-seeds"???--grin!Hope you are OK, so go hide away.Bella, what EVER you do,know that we LOVE you.See you later, be it next week, month, or next year.Tsup
Enjoy your summer with your girls and your work. We cannot be expected to blog continuously for ever and ever.Have a wonderful time, tsup, tsup . . .
Happy summer dear Bella, wishing you and the girls a fun time.Love the sweet Gemini girls, looks like they are enjoying the coffee.HugsCarolyn
Oh yeah, I forgot to add the homeowner with the garden hose. ha ha. I've got a power line to my house running right over my patio, should I spray that down? There's always a line of pop below it. Maybe I should grease it. Naaa. I love birds, and they love hanging at my birdbath. Glad to see you pop in, I look forward to your comments and thought you were gone for the summer. I'm going to post a new cartoon tonight so stop in for a coffee.
I meant poop , not pop. Sheesh. As Dr Seuss would say, Hop on Poop. I mean Hop on Pop.
Uncontainable JOY over your birthday post of Ces!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Enjoy the summer with your little beauties...you already know how fast they grow. All my love, Deb
So funny! I wondered if folks might have commented on your latest here. Beautiful illustration in the airport and so sweet! But I wanted to say I will be looking forward to your return and I hope your summer is terrific!

dearest Bella! I'm so delayed in wishing you a warm, fun-filled summer ahead. I was wrapped up in so many things, and most recently a horrible bout of food poisoning but I'm finally upright again. A huge hearty yahooo to you and your little ones as you take on summer! Love this wonderful illustration celebrating our dear Ces..you honestly outdo yourself everytime. Big hugs my friend!
Hey, I kinda thought you'd gone underground. Maybe we can have a meeting there eh? Well let's see splendiferous isn;t the word for these images, just supercalifragilisticallieahlliedocious does it better but you know it makes the spelling problematic... hope you are well, I am nearly back with the leaving err living, hugs from me :)
Just voted, dear Bella! WOW, your friend does amazing work..hope he gets stuffed onto that plane! Thank you so so much for your kind visit..I hope you are relaxing and enjoying the heck outta your summer so far!! Big hugs Bella!!
you went into hiding just when i emerged! loving peeking through all of your doodlicious posts!
Heh, I just discovered the bestest way to stay warm. I put oven mits on my ears. You might laugh and think well, they wouldn't be big enough, but we live in the land of Kangarood, magpies and giant oven mitts. The fact that are pink with little yellow butterflies might have fazed a less masculine man, But not I. I even eat quiche...What were the other suggestions for staying warm? ;) The only other one I can think of is getting in my surfboard bag but it has too much sand...
Bella..thank you, thank you, thank you for your sweet visit! I'm so honored that you have taken some time outta your summer to visit and send your sweet words. I hope you're enjoying time away with your little ones..getting some sun and fun in! I've just returned from an awesome vacation on the east coast with my family and am refreshed finally. : ) Big hugs to you Bella!
