Wow, Bella! This is so very beautiful! The colors, the composition and the atmosphere it creates is lovely! There is something so peaceful about this. Wonder what the story behind that girl in the pond with flowers is? Have a lovely day!

Bella, this one made me sigh. It is beautiful and sad at the same time. But we must keep swimming...and bumping into a flower now and then. :) xox!

"Just keep swimming!" Love that.

So lovely and peaceful, she really looks like she is floating. Spectacular job on the water, too. And the dove is so simple and beautiful.

Very pretty. I love how you did the arm and leg that are under water.

Nothing better then a good swimming in a lovely place :)

So beautiful Bella. You have truly created the feeling of swimming in the turquoise sea with the hot sun catching the water. One of the best feelings in the world.

She is doing what she has to do to stay afloat, with beauty and grace...

AtelierBrigitte said...

She looks happy in the water.

Why can't I look at something beautiful without thinking of an attack from Jaws? What's wrong with me?? I got issues.

Aside from that, it's STIll beautiful and peaceful, despite my weirdness. It also reminds me of those really cool 1940s floral designs on curtains in the old movies, or.. I could see it on an art deco theater wall with gold leaf accents. Really great image.

Hey, Roberto just discovered something about word verify and it works: You only have to type the first word in correctly and it posts. Yaayy!!

I am guessing Our friend in common is the inspiration for this piece. I love that you put flowers in there, they are indeed worth enduring for.

Such a lovely piece.

Honey, this is beautiful. We all have lost loved ones. Losing our loved ones is very painful and sad, but I think the greatest gift we can do to honor them is to live our lives and make ourselves useful so that we can make this place better than when we found it. I love you. Tsup!

Oh I almost forgot...
Thank you!

Bella, you hardly need the several word caption (at bottom). Your drawings are self describing (almost! always)............

FLUID sort of gives me a feeling that it IS a good place where we go, when the time is right.
--love and PEACE, friend Bella!

Floating, fluid and FUN! Love it!

I forgot to mention how nicely rendered the water surface is on this piece. That's a great theory for painting water. You're pretty good aren't you??

Shirley said...

Beautifully, perfectly illustrated and stated, Bella. This beautiful illustration brings me to Hawaii (Kauai) and the feel of love and warm breezes. Thank you for this heartfelt post..and I am sending a hug to you.

Has anyone ever come here and not say a nice word about your illustration? Hmn? I guess not. Must be a fool to do that. Your art is indeed beautiful.

Harry Nutt said...

Oh wow! I am so glad I found you. You are incredible!!!

Ces said...

Keep swimming, keep swimming, keep swimming...

Those two nuts sure have a lot of balls linking themselves to me.

You know, I must love you very much becuase I have just about given up commenting on most blogs with this funky word verification :)

Pecan-Steve said...

Who is that Lady who complains about verification words? Is it she who used them until yesterday??? And then sent threats?

Bella, Dear, I join those two 'nuts' who just commented (you say there were THREE?--grin!)

And if it true nobody has ever written a criticism on your comments...well, I'll just say thissss: I only went swimming once fully clothed--fell off a bridge into the Ohio River at Cincinnati. I was accused of being inebriated ...can you believe THAT??? ME?
Oh well (sigh!) know that I love you also--not just those C(H)ES-NUTS.

PEACE!
Pecan-Steve...that's pronounced PEE-CAN, OK?

Ces said...

For the information of Mr. Urinal Nut, I removed the word verification long ago and just recently reinstalled it. Besides, I can do whatever I want. Keep swimming, keep swimming. Oh, my sister arrived at JFK all the way from Incheon. Can you imagine how long that flight took? OHMYGOSH!!!

Oh be still my heart! How wonderful. I can just float on this all week. It's beautiful. I had a moment there. March 17 will be 13 years since I lost my baby girl and my mom. I miss them so much and this makes me tear up a bit, but there is peace. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of happiness. It is fluid and joy all together. Hugs and much love to you.

Sometimes it's nearly impossible to keep swimming, Bella, but we all have to. Life can be tough....

But wouldn't it be wonderful to swim through those lovely flowers? You always make me smile with pleasure.

Very serene. I was amphibious as a kid and this brings back some nice summer memories of lakes and creeks and rivers and pools.

I love this illustration. I'm an artisan bookbinder, and would like to know how I could purchase a HQ definition of this illustration to use in my bookbindery works. Take a look: www.facebook.com/AlbumesArtesanalesYmas
Thanks. Lovely work.
