What must I do to capture your heart?
Gosh darnit. When your mother tells you to put on your sweater, you put on your sweater or all sorts of body parts can go missing.
When I was playing around with patterns for Gumby's pigment-challenged cousin, the first thing I selected was polka dots which immediately made me jump in my seat. He looks like a giant Band-Aid, doesn't he?
Happy Valentine's Day!
Now go hug someone.
And give me candy.
xoxo

I thought it was a band aid when I first looked at it. I love this, I especially like the grunge layer. Thanks so much for your very generous comment on my latest illustration. You all are so wonderful!
Bella, I knew if I came here I would find something magical and heartwarming, and I have! It's simply wonderful and happy valentine day, dear one!
This is just great! I think it's my favorite for the week :)
You need to illustrate your own book without any words, like that book called Tuesday by David Wiesner. You could totally pull it off.
Beautiful illustration! I love the characters, and the detailing of the foliage is amazing!
Wow. How long did it take to do all those leaves?
Happy Valentine's.
happy love day! xo, c

Lovely illo, I hope she'll be careful to get that heart.
Your art is sickeningly wonderful and full of whimsy. I love it!
This drawing makes me want to draw just so I can capture some of the whimsy it infects me with.
The colors, the composition, the characters, the leaves, everything in this drawing is pure win.

Dear one, You have made my day with your sweet comment and this loveliest of Valentine greetings.
Unfortunately, as you know, I am in for the long haul so stress and it's management is one of the things I will have to cope with somehow. Short holidays do help since it gives his mind some occupation. Not to worry, I'm still smelling the roses and what is better still, my grandson and wonderful girlfriend will be on hand to assist with my tackle and anything I might catch.
Love you heaps . . . Arija
Sometimes one must go out on a limb for the best prizes!
And why is it that Moms never give up reminding about sweaters, jackets, long underwear, aw,heck-- LONG PANTS these days! This guy's got to be freeeeeezing, the wind will blow right through him! Put on your sweater gumbyman!
A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E, yet again, dear Bella! You just rock!! I love gumby's cousin, and oh how clever and sweet...yes, listen to your mom is right! : ) Happy Valentine's Day dear Bella..you are so fun. I am smiling. Thank you!! And loads o' candy to you. : )

BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN
Why American men should boycott American women
http://boycottamericanwomen.blogspot.com/
I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?
American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.
This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.
BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN!
so original and beautifully executed, love it:)
Just beautiful.
Ha ha! He does look like Gumby!
I'm going to hold my breath until she's in off that limb, though!
Happy belated Valentine’s day Bella! Your characters are so delightful! You have a great way of seeing this world and I love that you can illustrate it and let us in on your magical world...... At least if she scrapes her knee on the branch, she won’t have far to go for a band-aid :o) You ROCK!
LOve your sense of humor! Thanks for the smile!
so sweet! I love how she's saving his heart :)
I hope you had a happy valentine's day!

HAHAHA! Gumby's pigment challenged cousin HAHA! He's like an albino Gumby! Better get some sunscreen on him, could get a nasty burn.
So adorable as usual!
Oh Gumby is my kind of man :) He is obviously flexible, romantic and girls go out on a limb for him. Pah - who wants to be batman, superman, Will Smith, Brad Pitt? I'd be happy to b e a gumby over all those!
Especially with such elegant spots.
I am starting to worry Bella. You are good.

Lovin' it Bella, really beautiful. Perhaps a touch of band aid, but I only noticed it after you wrote it out ;). Dig the creepy Dong Dong eater above! I think you have a Once-ler setting up shop in there - he'll be asking for 15 cents, a nail, and the shell of a great, great, great grandfather snail next. Cheers!
