Oh to sail away on your dream boat to some foreign shore where coconut palms sway in a soft tropical breeze and a pina colada magicked into my hand . . .
far, far from worldly care . . . bliss

Thank you Bella for letting me run away from all my worldly cares for a little.

Who's intimidated Huh?
Not with brilliant ideas like this.
Oh Baby! I fall in love with every new Bella Sinclair illustration. Your ideas are timeless, classic, endearing yet progressive, modern, current. It touches the core of human spirit. In this case, how can one, not love a puppy so cute and so brave? Aha! I see he is also a deputy! And the boat, SS Kadi even has it's own steam engine! Is that tea or coffee? a page from Moby Dick, indeed? You are my all time favorite artist. You never fail to make me happy and jump with joy. Truly I was screaming this evening when I got home. :) Thank you. Tsup!!!

The illustration is delightful. The way you show the different elements in their best way, like the fish is such a great touch, the dog in a paper boat, the man (fish) hunt, it's all....

so "stiroo"

First lesson about writing gags: avoid adorable and cute, it can completely defeat funny. Stick with ugly and homely, it always works. That said, I laughed in a deep-down-touchy-feely kind of way. Don't tell my guy friends, though.

Okay... back to the garage to roll around in oil and get the perfume smell off of me :)

Dear Bella,

My wife Laurel and I are so appreciative of the painting of our newest family member "Kadi". You definitly captured her young spirit. When Robert and Cecil gave me the print the other night, I was absolutely speechless. Again, we sincerely thank you for this wonderful gift. Your amazing.
