you are amazing!!!!
Perfect! I've just spent a happy quarter of an hour admiring the subtle changes of the first three pictures. You really are a master of your craft. I bow to your talent and your craftsmanship with great respect.
Love and hugs , , , Arija
I love the final frame in the triptych, with the monkey doffing his hat in greeting!
Absolutely darling~~as always. Delightful dimensional quality too!

The little girl is as cute as can be! I love how her expressions change. The yoon see piece is simply stunning.
Happy new year Bella! :)
how fun, a tale that unfolds. I love her expressions.
**Sigh** I shall return when my heart stops fluttering from the joy of seeing this magnificent illustration. Girl oh girl oh honey! That mind of yours is so beautiful! TSUP! TSUP!!!
P.S. I need to read the dictionary to use more appropriate and effective adjectives to describe your drawings. Wonderful beautiful, magnificent, fantastic, fabulous, adorable, genius, original, lovely, exceptional... just don't cut it anymore for me. Such words sound trite.
Yay and a yippee!!! I am not behind in visiting now!!! WHEW. How in the world did you create that illusion of movement in the set of three??? First I giggled out loud with childlike delight, then my eyes popped out of my head as I scrolled down. Or is it just MY eyes?!?! No matter, I LOVE it! You are a quiet genius. Subtle. Your friend must be over the moon with your rendition of her. Now I must return to enjoy these pieces again, just as soon as I look up the definition of triptych. Smarty pants Anne. **kisskiss** Deb
So sweet. Your heart shows in every drawing you do. Happy 2011 filled with many special blessings!
Hahahahaha, I love it! Great to have a series of 3 drawings and the portrait is absolutely gorgeous!
Oh oh oh toooo sweet..giggle snort...love this one. Bella..she looks just like Nonni's dear friend Anni! Even that sly little expression!! Wonderful!
The piano pic...wonderful!!
Hugs to you hon, Sarah
Oh Bella
Deja vu is like a film.
Oh Bella this is so cool, while scrolling down, the dots in the background of your illustrations create the illusion, that the pictures move.
This is so clever and the piano girl is so pretty.
Your art is a gift, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Hugs
Janine
when i see you have a new post,
my heart always does a happy leap!
oh how i love your animals & girls
& flowers & expressions & adorablenessnessness in every detail. you fill me w/JOY.
xoxox
Nonpareil! That's what these are. I love the details! Look at the little kitty hair clips, the buttons, the shoes and socks. I love the changing perspectives on the elephants. I love the elephants' buttocks and most of all the way you made the balloon shimmer, is that a gradient function, by the way? My friend calls it gradient but I don't understand since the gradient is a vector operation which operates on a scalar function to produce a vector whose magnitude is the maximum rate of change of the function at the point of the gradient and which is pointed in the direction of that maximum rate of change. I just copied the hyperninja gradient description.
My first word would be HAHAHHHAHAAHAHAAAA!!!! or would you prefer BWEEHEHEHEHEHEEE!!!!??
Well, either one, I would put it on a silver plate for you, adorned with pretty flowers and ribbons because this post just won my Coolest Monkeying Around Award for the week!! Never mind Victoria's Secret, you are OwwwSummmm!! oxx
oh, they are both so sweet Bella. I especially like the second one. Sorry so short, I'm working with my nose to the grindstone.
These are so precious. Yoon See is very lucky to have a friend that will create such a sweet piece of art for her.
Yay! A Bella Doodle! I had to go back and look a few times, trying to get a feel for the story line - she really looks annoyed that the monkey in the fez is ruining her happy balloon vibe, polite monkey or no...
I missed your pictures over the holidays.
Oh Bella these are fabulous!! I love the elephant and the monkey.
And the little girls face lol!! so sweet. huh wha????????????
Yoon See looks so darling and sweet!
The backgrounds are mah-va-lous. So much depth!!
I am in love!
smooches and happy 2011 to you.
Tell your daughter thanks, she made my day!
Oh Bella, for a girl with deja vue you really are one of a kind. I admire your work so much it makes me put on a tie before I come to your page (mind you I am wearing board shorts long socks and thongs at the same time)
In fact your work is addative.
I like very much the focus and blur and the way you appear to blend real with fantasticalgorical.

Oh, so amazingly beautiful! You captured a moment in time perfectly! :D
Good morning! I love this sequence. I wonder if the elephant passed gas - (in the third frame)? I like reading your blog friend pretending to be inebriated or dyslexic.
Happy 2011, Bella :) It's always a treat to visit your blog because you filled it with plenty of beautiful artworks.
Haha! I love your Deja Vu! I wish my Deja Vu's were so fun. Usually they just make me ever so slightly uncomfortable.
Hopefully now that I'm done with that greedy Sketchbook I can participate in IF more. :)
Hey! Guess what! I am at the Apple store at the mall, walking after lunch and I thought I'd say hello! Hahahahahaha! TSUP!
now, I am on an iPad. your blog looks terrific! wow, I should get one of these? my pen and ink drawings look great but your colors explode!
I think iq will try your blog on an iPod touch. hahaha!
oh my this is fun. bye!
man, these are all SUPERB, bella :D
Gee! You look tiny, I mean your blog looks tiny on my phone but still big in making me happy. I have not placed a box of chocolates between myself and my keyboard.
Oh my, another lovely and creative piece! I just adore you and love visiting to see what you have to share. Boy I had such a difficult time with this topic and "just like that" you manage to create a perfect piece – brillant! You are so inspiring - thank you for sharing your work ♥
HA! I thought the deja vu was the first one-- the balloon and the elephants little behind, and then there was more! And then, by the end, I felt myself looking behind me for the trail of pink elephants. Whew! I'm dizzy!
Lucky, Lucky Yoon See!
Bella Darling! Happy New Year! You beautiful, beautiful woman! I adore your Deja Vu images, but then again, I love everything you create! May this be the sweetest year for you and the girls!
Lovely! I smile before I even get to your post when I see you've got a new one to share!
Hey Bella! Thanks for stopping by.....twice! It was like deja vu :o) I always get a kick out of your comments. I love your portrait of yoon see! She IS such a sweetheart. We’ll miss her this year in the blogosphere. I love the new blog background. It has a cool retro feel to it. Your deja vu is the best! My absolute favorite of the theme! The girl’s expressions are priceless! Especially when she gets a tip of the hat from the monkey. Especially when she gets a tip of the hat from the monkey. (deja vu) She seems surprised the second time... then she’s like whatever! I guess when your strolling down a green polka-dotted walkway on your way home from Disney World, a monkey on a mini elephant deja vu is pretty routine :o) God bless!
OOOOH my goodness she is going DIE when she see's this awesomeness! OH my goodness Bella I am over here just screaming with joy! How fabulous is this! Friday's DeJa Vu is BRILLIANT!!!
I would like to camp out in your head for about a week. oh don't worry about the smoke coming from you ears it's just me making a fire in there. I'll make sure I take off my high heels as well. Wouldn't want to bring on a headache. YOU are just BRILLIANT girl.
You make it look so dang easy. Leaving us all asking," How the heck does she do that??"
Loving all that fabulous green. Simply magnificent.
Sending you many hugs today and everyday. Not feeling very well. I have the flu and I feel like a dang train has hit me a few times. Just wanted to send you love.

Scrolling...scrolling...checking fingernails...need manicure...wait! I am at the end! Hi Bella! Deja Vu just cracks me up. First of all, that the two of them meet on their respective journeys (off to birthday parties? Political conventions?). Her expression when she sees them again is priceless. And your portrait of Yoon See is simply charming. :) I am going to join Vanessa in your head. If you find your head listing to one side, that is because I need to go on a diet. I will try and sit in the center. It will depend on the fire and where V puts her high heels, of course. xox! Pam
Wonderful work, Bella!!!!
Wishing you a nice weekend!!
This reminds me of the crosswalk you and your girls colored in.
Hi Bella,
Love your sweet new illustrations, you are so talented dear friend and I marvel every time I see your work.
Wishing you a wonderful 2011 and all that makes you happy.

Hihi, wonderful deja vu!!
You know, your blog beats a glass of champagne served with a scoop of peach ice cream on a rare Orrefors Clown champagne flute.
I love these! Deja Vu is too perfect :) and I'm loving the flowers in the piano. You are quite the talented illustrator :)
I cannot believe that Yoon See hasn't seen this yet - she will go mad!! In a good way of course. Love the expressions in your deja vue piece.

Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family!
As for the Deja Vu piece, I really love it a lot.
I will send you some polka dot paper in the near future....for the collaboration of your illustrations. It must be excellent!
oh!!! this sequence reminds me of the black and white one you did maybe a year or two ago -- when the scene got gradually lighter and lighter and then the little girl saw the monster? do i make any sense or am i inventing things in my head? no, i'm not. but this one just steals it all... i can feel the motion and the change of emotion in each frame. this one is just all out awesome. and custom portraits as fabulous as this one? hello, etsy shop!
I'm not sure how I have missed so much... lovely to see your beautiful creations again.
love love your work
a belated happy new year too xxx
Oh I've got all behind - a bit like your lovely elephants!! Wow, how fabulous they are and that darling little girl. What a fabulous portrait of Yoon See too. A superb piano and delightful flowers and and and. I feel like Ces, there aren't enough adjectives to describe your lovely lovely STUFF!!
