"Will you please draw me drawing an acorn?"
"Sure! Will you please draw me drawing you drawing an acorn?"
This is my dearest friend Ces, painter and illustrator extraordinaire. She is, by far, the most prolific creator of astounding trees and acorns and elephants and bald babies and slender women in stylish clothing that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her passion is unbridled. Her wit and intelligence and playful mischief are explosive. It is impossible to fit such an enormous personality into one tiny little nutshell. But I tried anyway.
Ces asked me to draw her drawing an acorn, so I did. She is drawing an acorn on an acorn in an acorn. I agreed to draw her on the condition that she draw me drawing her. And so she did. To see her incredible and mind-blowing rendition, please click here.
Now for the real challenge. Is anyone willing to draw Ces drawing me drawing her drawing an acorn on an acorn in an acorn? Hmmmmmm?
Ces, Tsup!

in a nutshell,
gorgeous inspiration, bella!
Too much! This is fabulous and darling as always!
Oh my gosh, I do believe I've stumbled into the women's corner. Quite a warm and cuddly blog you have here. I just want to say how much I love that painting you did of the one-eyed, green, blow-hole monster staring at the child. That is a really wonderful painting. Great story telling.
Okay, back to the garage to re-center myself in the universe. -Ted

The drawing of Ces in an Acorn is Awesome! And you have a cute little elephant in the nut too!! :)
I lurv everything about this one. I don't think I could come up with a drawing worthy of a follow up, though I am pretty magical with grilled cheese and cookie cutters.

Now you've got me even more confused . . .drawing you drawing Ces in an acorn on an acorn up a tree? Oi gewalt! where do we go from there???
You do have Ces down to a tee, even her hair. Both of you are truly amazing ladies!
Gosh, Bella..this is AWESOME! I keep getting stuck with words as I just can't come up with how amazing your work is - so touching in such a succinct sweet piece. YAY for you and Ces!!!

This is sooo gorgeous Bella.. aha even the viking helmet for her 'man 'the viking'..
The sleeping one and the little ele' nearly made me pee my pants with cuteness.. and then the wee caterpillar didn't want to miss out
Awesomeness!!!
Thank you very much my dearest Bella! You honor me and I am grateful. I think I will celebrate by drinking a cup of coffee and eating a slice of my daughter's birthday cake. The cake is yelling at me "Come eat me! Eat me!" I will be kind and oblige. Thank you once again. I think Captain Dumbass should draw us. Drawing me in stick figures would be a compliment.
Tsup! Tsup!

you are THE ONLY ONE who could put Ces in a nutshell! no one else could ever manage to do it, or if they could, she certainly would not let them.

Je vous invite toutes les deux à la dollhouse (mon atelier). Un magnifique chêne se trouve à côté... et les glands rebondissent sur le toit de temps en temps... C'est peut-être Ces qui frappe!!!

Hi, Bella. I hate to bother you, but since you were so kind to post such a sweet review of my book on my blog, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting a comment on my website under the "Please Leave A Comment" section. If you like, you can just copy and paste the same post you wrote on my art blog. I would do it myself, but I would never want to do that without your permission. No pressure. If you are not up for it, I totally understand. Still and always will be a huge fan of yours.
