*Inspired by the works of Ces.
**Also inspired by my hands which are badly in need of Lubriderm.
Did you know, some people argue that the pomegranate was the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden?

In the spirit of holiday shopping, I am offering a SOGO (see one, get one free)! I recently learned that my talented and crafty friend Esque shares my love for cows. Do you remember the decorated cow sculptures that paraded around New York City some years ago? It seems that some of them have made it to the Swiss hills to enjoy their own serenade. And we all know that happy cows give more milk. :)

This is lovely Bella! I really love the illustration with the cows too, have to be on the lookout for those decorated cows on my next trip to the swiss alps ^___^!
Aaaaaawww!!! Aaaaawww!!!
Do you know how honored - feel to know that I inspire you? What a great privilege it is. This drawing is so beautiful, it makes my chest hurts from pure ecstacy. Very rarely doe that happen. The only other time I cried with Joy was when I personally saw Vincent Van Gogh's self portrait with bandage. I felt every stroke of the brush in my heart. Now that I see this drawing, I imagine every squiggle, shading and arabesque twirls made by your hands. No wonder your shoulder hurts.thank you very much Bella Sinclair, I love you so.
Hmn pomegranate? I actually thought it was bittermelon, a vegetable. That is why Adam and Eve committed sin because they were driven to madness by the bitter taste.
Your dedication to Esque is pure joy. I love how wild that woman plays her one woman band rendition of "whn the cows come marching in."
The woman with the prehistoric beast looks so feral. I just love her. Do you eat each pomegranite seed individually? I do.
Tsup!!!
I have heard it was a pomegranite. And two for the price of one? Doubley awesome.
your drawings and your characters are so lovely :) appreciate them is delicious
I would say only God knows whay fruit it was but what I do know is that illustration is devine and your talent God-given. Beautiful Bella.
Oh Bella. You're a gem. Love the pomegranate-eating sweety.
And the new template... simply divine. Did you design it?
Also, from now on I will be stealing this from you:

I love all the textures you were inspired to put together, really fabulous. You make a pomegranate so appealing!
And the music for the cows, simply enchanting. I love seeing your art.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought it would be a picture of a dragon. But I guess the snake being so ginormous is kind of like being a dragon.
Pretty shading and the subject is very sweet. Thanks for posting!
doubled my pleasure here, bella! :)
hope you get relief for those dry hands, quickslike!
great health benefits in poms... and fruits from the middle east more than apples would be....
These are absolutely lovely!! The dragon (I think it looks dragonish anyways) and the pomegranate are great...love pomegranates!
The cows are the best!! There is a house down from us that sits on a bit of land and they have one of these "Parade of Cows" in their front yard (their yard is huge) and it always brightens my day when I pass by.
Omg....love both pieces. Ces is a wonderful inspiration. I also love the pomegranate. I have a huge addiction to them. I can't seem to get enough.
Did you say Lubriderm.?...me too, sister. I need to bathe in that stuff. This Canadian Winter is going to ruin my skin...lol
Awesome illustration. I love the texture of the backgound, gator and pomogranate. The little cows are great too.
Deb
fabulous illos
Croc's skin texture looks fabulous! Love that illustration – such a contrast of a sly-quietly-waiting croc and an innocent girl busily tasting the pomegranate. :)
The cows are so cheerful. Very nice.
Have a fantastic holiday season, Bella.
Wow. Beautiful details! Great post!
I LOVE THESE DRAWINGS.
P.S. No imBeiber here.
Wow, wow, wow!! I have missed three post, How?? I love them! (The cows were here too, I have pictures with them)
I could have posed as the model for the gator! We are having these lovely freezing winds that turn you into popsicle-gators. :) I love both of these drawings, and two for one! My head is spinning from the Bella-ness of it all! xox!
~bella...these to pieces are enough to steal ones heart...the wee little girl above...she is beautiful!!! and the girl dancing about with her friendly colorful cows...is just pure magic...so wonderful is the mind and art of you...i wish you well this holiday season...may your spirit continue to soar in such a inspiring way...warm wishes and brightest blessings~

Your cows are just adorable! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
You blow me away. I really love the black and white one. So incredible. Happy, happy day to you, Bella.
Gorgeous, I'm breathless!!!!!!!
absolutely wonderful, love the absence of colors and the dramatic difference between the little sweet child and the terrific crocodille.
Very nice!
Oh Bella,
They are both so brilliant.
I love the sweet colours you use, but the praehistorical black and white picture is wonderful.
Your girls make friends everywhere, don´t they?
Have a great day.
Hugs
Janine
I love those cows.
OMG OMG OMG! Bella! You are so awesome! These are the best cows ever! I love the girl - she is one multi-talented chick! I feel like dancing with those three cows in the background and mooing along like the teal one!
Of course, the croc is pretty cool, too - such detail! You are amazing!
two is better than one because we've all been very good this year!
Nom nom nom...
I love pomegranate. Damn! The peel is tough though.
Wonderful, wonderful! The detail in your pencil illustration is quite amazing and I adore the cows. Of course the little girls steal the show in both - adorable!x
What beautiful pieces! Funny you mention the cow sculptures cuz I use to work for the guy who started that up in the United States (I had a mini cow in his store window).
BEAUTIFUL, Bella, I love it! It does remind me of Ces's work. I think I've heard the thing about the pomegranate before. Anyway, I love everything about both of them. Just gorgeous... Hugs!!!
Hi Bella,
These drawings are both so sweet.
My favourite is the cute little girl eating the pomegranate, under the watchful eye of Mr Croc ... precious.
Happy weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
I love that girl eating pomegranate. Her expression is so sultry. She looks really wild, feral, I mean, like she lives in the wilderness.
I am jealous of you and I am not ashamed to say it.
I bet that girl eating pomegranate can say "Meh".
That girl is bossy!
I love the way she says "Meh"
You are a three-timer.
She is so bossy.
I had to stop by and thank you for your lovely visits and comments. If you try St. Armand paper, please let me know how you like it, or not. I will use it again.... and again. xo
I heard that girl with the croc is brave. She can squash a spider!
Oh in Peru, they eat giant tarantulas. My MIL and FIL were served tarantula when they went hiking in the Andes.
Do you think she eats octopuses' eyes?
Eeeeeeewwww! Octopus Ceveche!
Goodnight! Tsup! Tsup!!!
I've never heard the pomegranate theory, Bella, but she sure looks like she's been tempted!
(Like you, I am never far away from my hand lotion in the winter!)
I adore the colorful cows...what fun if it were so.
Your girl next to the (croc, gator, snake? seems to be some debate!) is precious. I love how nonchalant she seems...dum dee dee, I'm just going to sit next to this ginormous critter and eat my forbidden fruit.
Huh. How about that? "ginormous" apparently doesn't set off spell-check! Who knew?
And I love, love the happy colorful cows! They can come play in my backyard anytime.
Aaaahhhh! I slept all afternoon!!!
Phenomenal! Oh talk about phenomenal - YOU ARE!!! You are the one.
I love the colored cows! I think I asked for a cow for my birthday two years ago.. I got a cow shaped picture frame :)
happy holidays,
Heather
oh, am i crazy about your SOGO! i love that you worked in Ces's intricate (and awesome) style, and made it all your own! Both of these are gorgeous! Now my hands are itching for Lubriderm. Or Aquaphor... I think that's what we have somewhere around here.
Heisann!
How sweet - it touches me;:OD)
Oooh I had weebles long time ago. They do wobble but don't fall. Goodnight. Tsup!
Why, Miss Bella, ain't you just full of geenierositee this festive seasonnhh??? That crocodile totally blew me away! Never seen one so tempting to pet. Seriously, it's crazy good!
And I'm sure the long lost Mr. Finnie would've loved seeing a bit of that blown up skirt act, especially with a musical instrument involved in between. GAAaahhahahaahaaa...!!!
Kisses**
Good grief! My keyboard is dyslexic. Again:
OMG! Bella Sinclair, I tell you. Only you can make me laugh even at the most solemn days. No I do not need to rent poop! I have a boatload and am trying to unload! Eeeeewww!

Oooo... I just got "ogratte" for WV. It's like... "Fancy a drop of ogre ogratte vinagratte, mademoiselle? Non?
Hehehee...
Kiss, kiss to you, Ces!!!
Wehehee...
Well that at least makes one of us who knows its name.
Isn;t it great that I have been able to write at least a little poetry again? I thought the well had completely dried up but it seems I was mistaken. I changed the last line into 'shining with a light divine' but have not changed it on the blog.
Where do you come up with all the lovely images you draw? Wish I could draw a smiling reptile and little girls as cute as pies. Oh bugga, so I sound depressed? Well I am a little . Just getting too old to cope with large family gatherings and the stresses and strains associated therewith.
Thanks for being a sister friend, I'm getting a bit teary and maudlin.
Kisses and hugs . . . Arija
i was sure i made a comment...hmmm?
well dear bella, here are two more exquisite paintings/drawings by you, even if crocodiles are awesomely terrifing! i'm glad you drew a well behaved one. :)
Bella, your crocodile illustration is so soft and beautiful - you must illustrate a children's book ... SOON!
Fantastic!Love the prehistoric illo but the cows are what I love the most!I love cows too,one of the great experience for me was to be licked by a cow in Trentino(Italy):)
Well, along with everything else, at least now we have pomegranates! (Poor Eve, she really gets a bad rap, no? If it hadn't been her, it would have been SOMEBODY, probably ME!)
These are so lovely, your work gets more sensitive all the time! There is something really sweet about that alligator.
Oh I did not know that but then again I was only drawing the hummingbird for its outward appearance. So a very long tongue and a very long beak. I wonder if it licks the insides of a flower after it pierces it open?
BTW, Sue wants to know when you are opening your ETSY store. The Viking wants to give framed prints of artwork to friends as gifts, not mine, YOURS!!! I kid you not!!!
I love my new office space, especially the wall to my left when I sit down to work.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwww.... How sweet! YOU HAVE JUST OUT DONE YOURSELF with these illustration! It's amazing what comes out of that magnificent spirit and brain of yours. You never ever ,ever disappoint. This is just over the top fantastic. What a talent little girl she can play the accordion with her knees he he he he he! Over the top I tell you. Over the top! It's good to be inspired by your friends. Amazing!
Way to go girly.
Love this and love you too.
Happy Holidays
Oh Bella, wowowowowowowowowow, your work is good (it's baccale actually).
But seriously, these last three are so up there I actually did a bad thing and sved them for later study.
They make me hungry for more

I love this alligator and Oh! and I love you!
Wow! Look at that! My jaw dropped when I first saw the preview and kept it hanging for a week coz I didn't want to check your blog from my phone. I wanted to see it big and oh dear, you really scare me. I don't know what masterpiece your coming up with next, especially if it were made with dough.haha

Oh my goodness, I love this illustration :) the look and feel definitely says "prehistoric" to me :)
Hi Bella,
Just calling by to wish you a great Christmas week.
Yes, I did make the Scotch terrier.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your sweet girls.
Hugs

Oh!! Super cute, so creative. Croc's skin texture looks awesome.
Hi Bella! I am just stopping by to say I hope you haven't floated away yet! Is the power on? I can remember having no power when my kids were little (Wait! I have no power with my kids now - but that's a different kind of power, I am talking VOLTS and AMPS and such like things), and keeping them from climbing the walls is a definite challenge. Visit friends with power - lol!! xox Pam
I love looking at your illustrations! They make me happy :)
I love the mix of danger and calm with your scary aligator eying that little darling. The cows are delightful!
I wanted to stop by to say Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours! *hugs*
this is such beautiful work you have here... congrats!!! have a great holiday season!!!
Amazing illustration!!! I love all your work!!!
Sonata
Hi Bella, are your girls Emma and Nora learning the voilin as well as the horn?
Your girls are super talented knowing two instructments at a time:)
Both illustrations also so inspiring!
Ms. Bella!
Thank you so much for dropping by my writer's blog. I appreciate your kind comments so much. You are such an inspiration.
Love you much, and again, Happy New Year!
Oh me goodness, I am certain that I commented on these a while back, yet I no see me face here!!! Perhaps I failed the word verification system. They are both ever so lovely. I especially love the cleverness of the knee-held accordion-type instrument. That takes talent! Alice and I once performed Jingle Bell Rock with bells on our hands and feet and another set pinned to our tushes. It took more coordination than one would think. Now I must concentrate at the task before me; dreaded word verification-dectim. **blows kisses** Deb
Prehistoric looks like if you touched it you would feel the bumpy skin of the dragon. Your drawings are amazing.
The bottom picture with the cows just made me smile. I love the musical instrument between her knees. Thanks for starting my day with a smile.
Ooohhhh! BAM NO!
I heart this.
I used to have a job like this, except less serene, add seventeen instruments (simultaneous tasks) and put me in a cubicle instead of a beautiful field.
