Nothing's Buggin' Me

I'm still in my happy place, and you can't make me leave. I'm not listening. Lalalalalalalala.

This is a drawing inspired by my good friends, S and S and their two little s girls. They are just the most adorable little things. I saw a photo of them recently, and they were so enthralled with a grasshopper that Daddy S had caught. So I decided to build them a bug carousel.

Daddy S recently walked a marathon trailwalk in Hong Kong in my husband's honor, which I found deeply touching. He wrote that, "Peter was a true inspiration for me and showed me by example how to seize challenges, achieve through grit and determination, and live life as fully as possible." The charity walk was a nonstop 100km trek across Hong Kong, which is about 62 miles. My jaw dropped when I heard that! It took him about 33 hours to finish, walking all day and all night long. I cannot imagine and am just stunned by his stamina and determination. Daddy S is a big Sweetheart and will get a gigantic hug from me the next time I see him.

AAAW! DANG! This is so adorable. I like that I saw this before I close my eyes to go to sleep. A very happy image. (So much better than scary dreams.) I should be more like you. You are very thoughtful, almost pedantic with the details of your drawings. You know what? Again, a perfect illustration. I am running out of words so I'll just say "AWESOME!"

Oh I almost forgot. 62 miles! What a great tribute to Peter and a heartwarming gesture for you. I won't ask about something that would be my no.1 concern about long trips.

Dear Bella:
That was nice of Daddy S to do that for in honor of your husband. I love the illustration. It was so uplifting. I'm glad it was NOT a spider (I'm arachnophobic), NOT A GOOD THING, it can sometimes be too much for me. Have a good night.

Oh, dearest Ces, this coming from an artist who puts details within her details. Psh! And haven't you ever heard the phrase: Have colostomy bag, will travel. Yeehaw.

Hello, Lisa. It says my friend is crazy! Hahaha. Seriously, it was enormously sweet. My husband would have been stunned, but he also would have been shaking his head at the insanity.

Ack! Deepa! Arg, ooph, gah! No video, no video! :)

Patricia, welcome back! I hope you brought your two lovely children, my friend.

Dear Carolyn, thank you for all your encouragement. Hope the bugs did not give you nightmares.

Hop aboard, Esque! Would you prefer a pillbug? or a caterpillar? Oh, I know! A dragonfly!

Jenea, hahaha. I see you are still hanging upside down.

Messyfish, you got it. A ladybug awaits you.

Encaracolada! My conch friend! For you, a snail to ride upon.

Miss V! Hahahahaha, I'm not much of a sushi fan. But I will take your eye, thank you. Maybe I will inherit some of your artistic talent.

Oh, Arija! Glass wing butterflies! Yes, I have heard of them before, but I've never seen a real live one. What stunning, miraculous creatures!

Thank you, Sarah. Yes, it was an incredible gesture by my friend, I agree. Thank you. :)

Linda, Linda, Linda. You just want to see a video so you can laugh your head off at me. HA! Not gonna happen.

Peg, glad to make you smile.

Faruffa, thank you. And it's always an honor to see your avatar here.

Thank you, Carol, thank you.

Oh, Manon, he IS da man. And did I mention that he used to do needlepoint????

Dang, Cheryl! When are you going to come back from your voyage? Dang!

Yes, Mr. Wolf. S stands for SUPER!

Ew! Ick! Ack! Rayanna, I HATE spiders, too. No spiders here. No way.

Thank you, Peter. I have awesome friends.

BT, forever?! Now THAT would be some marathon. Yes, my friend is very wonderful, thank you.

Aww, Diana, you are so sweet. I do hope they like it and are not creeped out that their kids are on bugs.

Bella, I'm sending you a long, warm, and gentle hug. I can't believe I've been gone so long that I didn't know about your husband. I know you and your girls will be able to go on with love in your hearts. You, as a mother, must give the girls so much magic and beauty, it's evident in the spirit of your art work.

One of my prescription drugs lists "intense and unexplained happiness" as a side-effect. If this should occur, I am supposed to contact my doctor so he can make it go away. Maybe, Bella, you need to contact your doctor.
