IF - Entangled

Entangled

Our vines
Intertwine
Your life and mine

Lines play
Then stray
Never really going away

Momentarily
Gently, tenderly
Become tangled with me

Oh my goodness gracious..this is just precious! Look at all of those little lovelies having a good playful time in your beautiful vines!!

And Bella, of course, you most definitely can have an archway just like Ms. Mouse's!

Wow Bella, this is SUPER! It would make such a gorgeous wallpaper design...It would sold out instantly! (^O^)

THUD!!!

If you ever brush me off again when I praise your art, I SWEAR I will hate you and never ever going to talk to you again!

Your words, they are beautiful, tender, and warm.

Your lines, strokes and colors are gentle, a perfect harmony, your thoughtfulness evident, they go right into the core of my being.

If I question myself why I draw instead of paint it is because I sometimes lose my self control in its hypnotic, trance-enducing, mesmerizing movements but if I had to draw and paint for the rest of my life to secure your friendship, I will stipple and squiggle the sky!

And I pray for the slightest, faintest possibility, no I beg you! please make one of those adorable creatures tangled in your vines, please let one of them be me and I will never question again, why I draw.

Your art is as beautiful as you!

Bella, your drawings/paintings are always so perfect. I see Ces the old tomboy dangling by her knees...
and I agree with translucentblue, it would make superb wallpaper. I could never tire of looking at it.

Deborah said...

Oh the words...they touch so deeply...melancholy. Sweet little beloveds gently cupped in the safety of leaves, the wild ones gleefully playing. Amazing how in the most difficult of times, you draw light, joy, and hope. Brilliant once again. All my love, Deb

Lovely sentiment and wonderfully illustrated.

Though there are many entwined relationships/vines in all of our lives, I cannot help but think that blogging is one of them. Your poem is really a reminder of how valuable all the vines in our lives are.

Thank you for such loveliness.

Bella Sinclair said...

Shirley, thank you! Now my unruly vines have somewhere stable to climb.

Oh, goodness, thank you Translucentblue. Having wee people on my wallpaper would make me feel...watched.

Dearest Ces. You do not need to draw or do anything to secure my lifelong friendship. Do you enjoy hanging upside down? It's a rush to the FPOT.

Haha, Arija. You know your Ces well. Speaking of hanging upside down, how's your possum friend?

Deborah, you are too sweet. When happiness is short in coming, we must create our own. :)

Kathi! Hahaha! Yes, I am a little bugger.

InnerTodder, aka Captain Marvel, you make me blush. Thank you.

Thank you, Painter. I must agree. Blogging is a dense wall of vines.

i know what you mean. I haven't found enough courage to return to our hometown which is a beautiful historical beach town since then. But sometimes, there is a yearning like wanting to open a secret door just to peep what is behind ..

i know healing will come for you too, these things don't have a timetable- so, if it's not today, maybe tomorrow.

Thank you very much for you comments on my post about fatherhood. Inadvertently you also contributed to a fact I had not covered, nro thought of until you mentioned it. What happens when children grow up and go? Your'e so right, despite women doing most of the childcare for centuries, they have built a mechanism to cope with it. And we could argue that it's not perfect but at least it exists. Men, on the other hand, have not and I don't think we have that in-built structure to deal with empty nests. Many thanks for bringing my attention to that detail.

Greetings from London.

All entanglements are not as sweet as these

Some require amputation cauterization and excision

Some require that you just walk out

I am about to walk out

I need to be untangled

No 10-gallon hat for the snowman in Houston. I am working, can you believe it? I am working at home. It is freezing and I cannot think. My brain is frigid! I cannot think and nothing works!!!

Cheryl Lynn said...

I really don't know what to say, about this one, Bella...Well, maybe just that it's one magnificent illustration. The colors, the inhabitants of the vines, the playfulness, sweetness, and innocence, if you weren't such a sweet soul, you'd be unapproachable as an artist.

I'm with Ces, once I got up off the floor from my initial reaction to such greatness, I decided to bask in the light of this fantastical world.

Bravo!

Wake up! It is cold and frigid outside and my drawing hand has frostbite from turning on the hose to clean a teenager's pair of boots. Now it is swollen and red. Start CRUNCHING! Ugh, I need to do that but I am such a sloth. The only crunch I love is the sound of caramel popcorn.

Hi Bella. I was at Renee's and seen your beautiful "Entangled" and just had to stop by and say I love it. You should make prints of this wonderful painting. I could never paint people so small, I wish I could but I don't think I have ever tried. I should give it a stab and see if I can. You inspired me. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are doing okay. Take care.
