OMG! You are a genius! How do you come up with these great and wonderful ideas! It's like opening a Christmas present everytime I see anew post from you! WOW! This is truly FANTASTIC! A great ending to a wonderful day. What a treat!!!

Amazing!!! A different way to adapt. I agree with Ces on being opening like a Christmas present. Really great!

I've put up my very first IF post. Come & see, Come & see:)

ha ha ha!! Bella, have I told you that you are the best? the idea is awesome! the little monster there is so cute, as the little girl. and boy, what a great idea.. yeah

Arija said...

So very, very beautiful. You have an astonishing clarity of vision. When I look in the mirror unawares, that's exactly what looks back at me...how on earth do you know these things?

haha it would be a great short film!! love it!

Hahaha! What a lovely twist Bella! Bravo! I thought the little girl's going to punch the monster or something. But maybe she was thinking if they had the same stylist.haha

I love every frame and how the story developed. Just like reading it with your words. It actually makes a good 5 second ad for children. On second thought, parents might get annoyed with unexpected blockouts caused by kids turning off the lights just to see this adorable monster.haha

Dear Ces, ho ho ho! Ever get something for Christmas that disappointed you? Like a pair of plain socks? And no, I was not calling you a ho. Mwah!

Hello, Deepa. Your very first IF? I'm excited to see!

Cheryl, thank you. I also like it when my feet adapt to a new pair of fashion shoes.

Carolyn, thank you. What happens next, I wonder. Hmmmm.

Dusik, ha! Thank you so much. I'm so enjoying your pen drawings, by the way.

Arija! Surely you are talking about the little girl! I know it's the girl, because I have clarity of vision. :)

Karen, thank you.

Loni, many thanks.

Miss Carole, I thank you.

Nicola, thank you. Who knows what else lurks in the dark.

Krisztina -- your fairy, my monster...it'll be a hit film, eh?

Haha, Bjornik! You know, I did not even see the similarity in hairstyles until you pointed it out. Very astute observation. Thank you, my dear.

Faruffa, thank you!

Laughingwolf, thank you. And I hope your week is full of howls.

Patricia, I'm honored. Love your blog as well!

Owl Eng, haha. You are too kind.

aimee said...

ack! this is so clever - like a little flip book! i agree, there is an awesome twist at the end - i would have expected maybe a candy land or a palace of toys. but heeheehee... you made her face up to a monster. it's a very cute one!

what a silly monster and what a calm little girl. my favorite frame is the first--who can't remember being in a dark bedroom waiting for her/his eyes to adjust? remember those old hand held movies, bella, where you turned some thing-a-ma-gig and one picture after another brought the motion to life? that is what this does for me. it's very very fun to see the range of your talent. yay!

Valerie said...

Oh, hoohohoohoho... such a cute set! the lit'l girl is so cool and the monster, well, naughty! bella, you did it again! so this is what you've been up to? :)

Wow, thank you, everyone! It was nice to do another Illustration Friday prompt. And Caren, depending on the drawing, it usually takes me a couple of hours to doodle, and then another couple to color on Illustrator. :)

Bella thank you.

You nailed it about the picture. That is exactly what happened.

Bella, well, I don't even know what to say because I typed your name and now feel like crying.

Maybe it just feels nice to be undeerstood even though that was three years ago.

I love these pages Bella and I want to save Ces' birthday page only for wonderful birthday wishes for our dear friend.

There is something about you Bella that I have loved from the start.

Is it an essence, a spirit, an energy force that comes from you that makes me connect right away. Is it the art and the words that I think, I love her and I want only very good things to happen to her and her family?

I just wonder, because I can be left so cold by so many.

Love Renee xoxox

What a great interpretation of the theme. I so relate to this idea, I was scared of the dark as a kid and I still have my moments even now. But I must say that monster looks like a cutie in a cheeky kinda way.

I always ask for socks for Christmas and usually get Very Practical ones. I should buy my own socks I guess. Are the Hello Kitties really that big?? That is frustrating about your camera battery but take comfort that no electronic device would have captured the feeling you had when you heard her play. xoxo
