This is Bo. No wonder her sheep keep running away.

I went to the rodeo once in Cody, Wyoming. What an experience! Thrilling and nail-biting exciting and painful to watch all at the same time. Little boys as young as eight or so even competed on bucking sheep. Yikes!

Adorable dough sheep courtesy of Carolyn from Draffin Bears. Thanks, Carolyn!!!

LOL! What a cute illo! I love your "take" on things! You have such a witty and cute sense of humor.

I know what you mean about watching the makes my back hurt just thinking about those guys riding those buckin' broncos!

Caroline said...

This is so cute! It really made me smile!

Draffin Bears said...

Hi Bella,

Loved your drawing, with Bo having a sheep back ride.

Happy Mother's Day to you.

Flight Fancy said...

I love Bo, this one got a laugh out of me!

nollyposh said...

Lol! i love it~

Ces said...

Aw! Bella! This is so cute. Her facial expression is so apt. She is so determined to buck that sheep with nary a cark but PETA is gonna getcha!

Anonymous said...

This is great - creative, smart, funny. I love it! :-)

esque said...

Ha ha, loving it! I'm ashamed to say I've never been to a rodeo, eventho my relatives are like hardcore PBR fans! Go Bo!

krisztina maros said...

oh my gosh it made me laugh ha ha :))
it's a really wild sheep isn't he? love your humour!

btw: thank you so much for kind words, Bella! those means a lot for me!

Björnik said...

Hahaha! You capture moments very well Bella! I love the sheer determination on her face.

Poor sheep, how do they buck by the way? I can only imagine a cotton ball bouncing softly.

Kaili (Billy and Button) said...

Fantastic illo Bella!! Great moment you chose to capture.

Bella Sinclair said...

Oh, TattingChic! And when those horses STOMP on those cowboys? OUCH!

Thanks, Caroline. Smiling is good. :)

Hi, Carolyn! Hope you don't mind your sheep is being tormented. Just a little. No, truthfully, I think she likes being a wild bronco. Happy Mother's Day and thank you again!

Hello Flight Fancy! Thanks, and I like your avatar.

Nollyposh, thanks so much!

Ces, ok, I had to look up the word 'cark.' PETA! Bring it on! She's a free range sheep. I heard the leader of PETA is nuts. After she dies, she wants her flesh to be turned to food and her skin to be made into products. Ew.

Thank you, Gypsy. Too generous.

Haha, Esque! PBR, no way! That was a very popular beer in college. Because it's cheap?

Krisztina, hi! Yes, she was featured on the video: When good sheep go baaaaaad. Oh, that was terrible.

Bjornik, haha! Beneath all that cotton is a solid mass of muscle. And hooves, baby. Hooves.

Hey, Kaili! Thank you!

Ces said...

Maybe it is a typo. maybe I meant cake? One never knows with my sticky fingers...Beautiful environment although I have not seen giant cacti so beautiful like those in America's grassland? Yes there were a lot of sheep, gazelle and bison in WY and they have those cowboy cutout billboards greeting travelers from the highway but I did not see the cacti, where they in the western part? We were in the eastern section. The background reminds me of the beautiful Sonoran desert. I have been to Arizona only once; my husband and I visited very close friends of ours, the one who gave the Christmas party where my husband and I met. I was in awe when I saw the towering saguaro cacti then it dawned on me, we were in the desert and I thought of rattlesnakes, scorpions and other creepy crawly do you eat dessert when you are in the desert, do you make yourself decent during your descent from the mountain so you can dissent in the lowlands?

Ces said...

Eeew, the animal rights president, she needs to associate more with humans rather than sheep. What Woody Allen movie was that where the man was in love with his sheep?

Valerie said...

bo looks so determined and she and the sheep are so cute! interesting background (location) to buck the sheep. :)

kj said...

it's orgasmic heaven for me: shadows PLUS dust!

oooooooooooooh (moan fades off into sunset)

Bella Sinclair said...

Ces, no, you were right. "Cark" is an archaic term for "care." You are so poetic. The background photo was taken while on a horsetrail near our home in AZ. They guides keep telling us that Julio Iglesias lives in them-there hills somewhere, but I don't know if that's true.

You most definitely eat dessert when in the desert. Prickly pear ice cream. And whuh?? There was a Woody Allen movie with man-sheep love?

Hi, Valerie! Yeah, come to think of it, you are right. You can't graze sheep in the desert. Oops.

Oh, KJ! You get turned on by dust and shadows? My gosh, you'd die with a smile on your face if you saw my home.

Ces said...

Of course it was cark :D and it is not archaic according to me. Perhaps I am archaic. I still use words like nary, nay, beseech, lo, henceforth and gay to me is an affect effect not a moral conundrum. What can I say I am old fashioned, or maybe I am just old? Goodnight, dream of angel love.

Hihaa ha ha :)
The sheeps that I saw in the morning at my vacationhouse were relaxt.

ohh this illu is so sweet, Bella!

and thanks for the kind words you left at tiny red :)

have a lovely weekend!

kj said...

bella, i wish you hadn't been so blunt about my turn-ons. now it's public and my stature among your visitors will be affected

and it's not just ANY shadow or any dust. let me at least make that clear. so i don't think your living space counts. oh forgetit, you're too damn clever for me, bella. you always turn my comments around. even my prior comment about 'a little ass', which at the time i thought was so witty it was awesome.

love you anyway bella :)

What a cool collage! I kept thinking I'd go through all of your updates first, before posting a comment, but I can't keep up with you! lol, so I'll just take my time figuring out what you've been up to since I was here last - actively here, that is. :o

Ces said...

You are formidable. I give up. I am no longer arguing with you. You are the mental ninja. I have never met anyone quite like you. I am shutting my mouth like right now!...I really am.

I won't argue with you again.

I'll be quiet.

fun combination of the color figure and the sepia photo. The Barbie is pretty astonishing.

Bella Sinclair said...

Patricia, hello. Who knows what your sheep do when you are not looking.

Thank you, Tiny Red! Love your stuff!

KJ, I must admit, a little ass is enjoyable, as long as it's the right type of ass and not the result of offensive low-rider jeans.

E.R., I smell a ruse for money....

Deepa, thanks!

Aimee! Haha! Then me thinks you are going a little bananas. Happy Mutter Day! mutter...mutter...mutter

Hello, Janine! Thanks, and Happy Mother's Day to you, too.

Laughingwolf would like more dust.

Yes, Cheryl! Baaaaad to the bone!

Hehehe, Raluca. I guess that's why her hair is all curly in the first place. :)

Dam, thank you and welcome!

Silke, thank you. Are you eating something in your avatar? Darn, now I'm hungry again.

Hello, Nancy! I've missed you!

ArtSparker, thank you. Astonishing is a nice way to put it. :)

Ces. Ah, little grasshopper. You and your shurchickens admit defeat. Wise, it is.

Bella, how unfortunate renee's timing could be. Talk about a certain anatomical part while I present you with an award for the most lovable, cutest, innocent flower girls! i had to take the banner down. I don't even remember drawing any pubic hair. That is insane!

Renee said...

Bella I have made it as clear as mud now on Ces' site.

Bella you really are a wonderful friend.

Well the pages are full for now. I wrote in this journal in 2006 when I was diagnosed and so am now putting it out what helped me. Or maybe not helped me, but helped me to figure our what the hell I was doing.

So I thought that it might be a good thing to revisit and so that is what I am doing. I am just typing out my journal and reminding myself what I need to do.

Medical Treatment? CHECK
Creative Thinking? CHECK
Diet and Nutrition? Fail
Exercise? Fail
Beliefs and Attitudes? CHECK
Social Support CHECK

I need to regurgitate this stuff to remind myself. To put armor on myself for when I need to battle again. To armor myself by reminding me that I can do it.

Bella I am so happy that your Mom has survived and is cancer free. Oh thank God. That is not only the most wonderful news for her but it also encourages me.

Bella I am happy that you are helping me go through this all.

All of your kind words about the truck and the dent made me smile.

So all that you read in my pages will have already been written, but I can still learn from them and that is what I need to do.

Even the simple things. Like pick up a fucking glass and put some water in it. Tip it into your mouth....... And believe me these things can be harder than they seem because after chemo everything is hard to drink without gagging even a year after the last treatment.

Love Renee xoxo
