IF - Impossibility

Flower Girls Project: Nos. 7 & 8 of 12

I'd love to grow flowers as big as these, but that, I know, is an impossibility.

Just as I'm entering the home stretch on this series, a new girl has come to the class. Darn it. I'm going to have to see how I can squeeze her in.....

Maria and Hessa turned daisies to chain

Amandine and Beatriz skipped down the lane

Hope you have a fabulous week!

The one with the fly agarics is my favorite!!! I think I'm going to print this one, and hang it in my
daughters room.....next to the other fly agarics and gnomes.
I wish you also a very nice week!!!

Ces said...

I am back. I have regained my composure.

These are really lovely Bella. They re beautiful. I have yet to find a person, woman or man who did not say they are beautiful and then they ask whether they can buy them in the form of something so they can readily look at them. I think that is the ultimate compliment when a person wants something right in front of them everyday because it is inspirational and just beautiful in every way. These are perfect specimen! (They are clinicians, what can I say)

Loni Edwards said...

Ha, Esque! Shrooms to eat, though, right?

Sherry, thank you so much.

TattingChic, they are called Butterfly Clerodendrum. Amazing, aren't they?

Thanks, Jack!

Thank you, Diana. :)

Aww, Patricia, thank you. I am flattered.

Thank you, Loni!

Oh, I don't mind, Pea. The front cheeks only, please. :)

Ces, what else can your friends say when you are standing there with your arms crossed and toes tapping, studying their every eye movement? One day, you'll open a store and I'll open a store, and we'll buy each other's works and get rich off each other and retire.

deepazartz said...

OMG! This is Cho Chweeeeeeeeeeett! Its superb! No words to describe:)

Is this done in Illustrator? If so,Which version are you using? I would like more abt your work.

Have a Cute day!

Your little girls are always delicious and tender! They make me think of fantastic sweet little worlds!

Ces said...

OH SHOES. I am so tired of arguing with you. I have the last word on this: You are brilliant and your work is beautiful and desirable. AMEN.

P.S. and my friends are not the least bit intimidated by me at all.

Becky said...

Soo cute and adorable! I would love to attend one of your classes, lol. To bad im so far away.Have a lovely weekend Bella!

Bella Sinclair said...

Catalina, thank you. :)

Deepazarts, hello! Yes, I used Illustrator CS3. After scanning a pencil drawing, I just put in blocks of colors and then added a scan of some scrapbooking paper in the back. I'm not a complicated person. Thank you!

Oh, Sonia! You made me laugh. Delicious...tender...sweet.... I'm hungry now.

Ces. Grrrrr. Neener, neener.

Hahaha, Becky. The class is my daughter's first grade class. Surely, you do not want to repeat that!

Ces said...

You know that not only are these illustrations brilliant, there is wicked rhyming going on here? Then the details of the flowers are botanically correct. You will definitely trigger this statement from teenagers who visit our house: "Dr. Sinclair, that is crazy, wicked. Tight!" "Man, Nona your Mom is cool."

Owl Eng said...

Absolutely beautiful!! they put a smile on my face ;)... I really love your ideas

Flying Colors said...

These are totally. totally exquisite... It has almost been an impossibility for me to express how amazed I am with your work!

Bella Sinclair said...

Ces, I've been called crazy, I've been called wicked, I've been called tight. I've never been called all those at the same time.

Owl Eng, I bet you have a beautiful smile.

Oh, Lisa. You've showered me with such beautiful words today. I am truly touched and honored.

Silke, thank you so much!

Manon -- it is YOU who are talented, my dear!

Renee said...

Wow Bella these are so joyful and happy and rise my spirit just by allowing me to look at them.

It's a child creative playland and dreamland Bella.
So fun and they are welcoming the spring!

Ces said...

"Crazy, wicked, tight", only mean well if they are delivered by a testosterone-laden 16 year old. If it is your contemporary saying those words, that requires a stinging retort.

K Spoering said...

These are delightful! I especially love the skipping pair. they remind me of how I used to love to skip. I MUST take it up again!

Thank you, Caroline. I think that's why I draw so many little girls. I just want to remember this time forever.

Thank you, Julia Kelly. I will try not to spoil.

Lolo, thank you so very much. I need to visit you and catch up.

Oh, Cookie, hello! So good to see you again. I was thinking of you and your wonderful family just the other day. I hope all is well.

Teehee, Aimee. I dunno. These girls would get their butts kicked by the Bratz, dontcha think?

Nancy, Artsparker, thank you!

Thank you, Carol. And good luck with the colored pencils. I'd love to see!

BT, would you welcome HUGE mushrooms in your lovely garden?

Aw, Valerie, thank you.

Carolyn, thank you. I hope you're enjoying your weekend, too.

KJ, come out of the shadows! Why do you like it where it's dark?

Ces, I'll let you in on a little secret. It's not the sunshine. It's the manure.

It's the other way around Bella. If I feel so much younger, special and more aware of who I am it's because of you. I think the sisterhood of women especially of similar interests is not just a theory, it is real. I thank you!

Bella Sinclair said...

Roberta, thank you!

Oh, Linda. My fear is that there will be complaints: Why am I paired with HER, I wanted to wear a tutu, That does NOT look like my daughter.... Oy. Yeah, I'll let you know.

Asja, thank you so much.

Renee, I'd like to think it was an adult, too. There's a wee child in all of us.

The Bible pages are from an old collins. The Bible was given to me by Mr Simpson when I was around 13-14 years old. It had a few pages missing and there are browning marks where Mr Simpson as turned the pages.
A very special gift, I will see if I have shared this on my blog.
Thank you so much for asking.

OOh these little darlings make my heart skip a beat!!! They are just fabulously delicious in every way! I want to tell you that I had myself a good cry while reading your email. On a very serious note. Your words really touched my heart in ways that only an artist like yourself can understand. This project was not without it's problems and do overs and opinions and so forth, but God brought me though and your encouraging words and laughter helped me in ways that I can't even began to tell you! If I were close you I would hugs your neck and cry on your shoulder and leave a bit of snot I'm sure he he he! Thanks for being more than a friend Bella. You are family! OH by the way, I'm almost finished with my little surprise for you. I will be posting something later this week as a little tease and then I will put it in the mail to you he he he!

Mr. Breese! Well, having a head swollen to alarming proportions and then having it explode can slow you down a bit. hehehe! I know from experience. The big move happens in mid-June. Wahoooo. No, not wahooo. I'm dreading it. I hate moving.

Ces, you've gone loopy! Bella for president? Have you forgotten I am a democrat? Gah!

And I just grabbed a cup of tea and came to open a gift from Ms. Bella.

Bella I want you to know that I was bawling throughout this comment. I love you so much. I am crying well I write that because it doesn't sound like it could be real. But it is.

Thank you for being over the moon with me.

Bella thank you for showing me how much you care.

Thank you for being you.

p.s. I loved that you went to the closet to muffle your joy. I would have had to grab a pile of clothes off of the floor.

Love you. Renee xoxoxo

Renee, love. Aw, I hate to make you cry. Let me just say that I cannot effectively express how much I care for you. I wish I could absorb all your fears and pain. The next time we go over the moon together, make sure you reach out your hand and grab a fistfull of moonrocks. They are awesome.

Mr. Spangler, thank you!

Oh, KJ! Now you've put me on the spot. I have performance anxiety. But noting that you have to scroll down, down, down, I wouldn't think there are any stars down there. Unless you're an Aussie.
