When I read this week's Illustration Friday theme, Celebrate, the first thing I actually thought of was that sappy commercial for General Foods International Coffees. The one that ends with the jingle, "Celebrate the moments of your life." Know which one I'm talking about? Am I old? Do they still make that coffee?
So here is a doodle inspired by that commercial and a couple of dear friends. I hope they know who they are.
She regaled them with stories of odd hobbies and sprouts at the CuppaCuppa Tree.

That's so sweet - it just expresses that whole thing with friends you can talk to, absolutely perfectly. I need to do one with my neighbour and I up a tree with a bottle of red. :)
i'm at latteland in kansas city right now, and i'll have to repair the hole in their roof because i shot through the ceiling when i saw this! WOW! i am beyond words. almost. thank you, thank you, thank you bella! what a gem of a person you are.

I have been tingling all morning, even with the lack of sleep because I was on call last night. I am so giddy, happy and very grateful. Bella you are the queen of nice. I can imagine the hole in the roof where Aimee shot through. I did the same thing in my bedroom this morning. It awakened my husband. Please forgive me. I printed the drawing in laser color and my thrill has reached orgasmic level. Oh how vulgar but I am so tickled!
i knew the commercial!!! hahaha ...another precious creation. so our little girls are the same age!? i wish u lived in my town we could get together and create art our while our girls played. u would be a blast to hang out with..I KNOW for sure.!!!
