Emma: "Why did you squash me and Nona in a cup?"
Emma wanted to add to the picture, but I wouldn't let her. Bad mommy. It's just a picture, after all. So Emma drew her own version of the teacup tea party. She added mommy and daddy and our crazy pooch Oz.
I like her version better.
Though Dad doesn't usually wear a skirt at home.

what a beautiful simple image..
love your daughters version too! :)
I love these illustrations - they're beautiful, sweet and funny - and I love the stories from life you tell with them - really wonderful!
I love your work and I really love the stories behind some of your work. My daughter always wants to add to my work. She has a collection if little sketches. I may make a corner for her on my blog to show some of her doodles.
Thanks for sharing her drawing with us. It's so charming and cute.
Her drawing is so cute! And she already shows alot of talent and certainly imagination. I love the thought bubble...and is that you dancing on the side there, Bella?
Bella, thanks for visiting me. I'm sending a hug for the best comment I've ever gotten. You made my day!
oh dear, this is so lovely, Emma sure have strong imaginations, and she is not selfish to have everyone in the teacup party! Passionate and imaginative!
Love you teacup, and I am the same way, just love teacups!
Keep drawing Bella!
Bella, I am so touched and thrilled about your order over at ImageKind! Please let me know when you receive the cards and what you think of them. Thank you!!! :)
Bouth versions are beautiful.
Great concept for the illu.
I can imagine the secrets that you're daughters are saying
I love the image -- beautiful, subtle drawing! I also love your daughter's drawing. (Daddy in the dress is an especially nice touch:)
The image makes me happy. I too have a thing for tea cups. And tea, with a period piece. It reminds me of the miniature tea set I had when I was little and brought out for my stuffed animals on special occasions.
This is so beautiful and soft! And you daughter's picture made me smile!
Thank you for the comment!
both of drawings are so lovely! they have a fantasic inward mood. your husband's in skirt made me laugh - he couldn't gainsay this fact anymore :)
Great Illo, I love the concept so much!!!
... Emma's illo is adorable, I love the dog :o)
This is so lovely, both image and story. I can imagine two little girls having a tea party inside a tea cup... maybe two little pixie girls too! :)
This little drawing is wonderful!
I would love to see little people in my teacup! It's such a delightful sight.
*Emma is quite an artist :)
Love your cup!
Bellissima!

I love this one Bella. First of all, great rendering, and second I really like how all you can see is the tops of the girls heads. Sometimes less is more. It's intriguing.
I absolutely adore this!
(Of course, I too have a thing for teacups.)
And I love your daughter's version!
Thanks so much for your kind comment!
